2012 Wedding Industry Award National Winner!

Ok, so my feet haven't touched the ground I'm still feeling giddy!

Why? Because I had the wonderful fortune of having met and planned some great brides and grooms weddings that wrote amazing, tear jerking things about their day and voted for me at the 2012 Wedding Industry Awards, that resulted in me winning!... YES WINNING!.. I won the UK's Best Wedding venue Co-ordinater for riverstation.

The 24hrs I spent in London collecting the award was fabulous so I thought I would share my day with you.

My travelling companion was riverstation's restaurant manager Jarryd and we met late Morning and travelled up by train. Once arriving in London we checked in to our fab hotel in St. James's and took a stroll over Green park past Buckingham Palace and on to Regent st.

I swooned over the shop fronts including Fortnum and Mason and popped into All Saints to pick up some earring to complete my evenings outfit. The lovely Gail from The Mews (wedding gowns of Clifton village) lent me one of her Two Birds bridesmaids dresses and it was beautiful. They travel so well. You can scrunch them up in your suitcase and they come out utterly uncreased.

We then had reservations a the W hotel for Rock afternoon tea. A homage to Mick Jaggar and it not only looked good but tasted great! I particularly liked the little Rose cakes and smoked salmon on rye with a pickle.

Kirsten from The Little Wedding Helper then met with us and after giggles and lots of perfume we left for the awards. I must say I was a little nervous.

The awards took place at the Cafe de Paris just off Leicester square and we were greeted with bubbles. The theatre was divine, it had the largest chandelier where we all networked underneath with other nominees from our region. I met some lovely new friends and it was so nice to see some old friends too. Everyone looked so glam! As the awards began I was very impressed with the opening speech from The organiser Damien and Sky News corespondent Sarah.  I agree that brides and grooms should be making decisions on supplies that are well respected and highly recommended by other brides and grooms.

As they read out the winners it all got very exciting. Everyone whooped and cheered for their region. Planned for Perfection won Best Independent Wedding Planner from our region. As they read out my name I really could not believe it. My heart jumped so high and all I could think is, Michele don't trip! It's a lovely feeling as I've worked non-stop, day and night thinking about how to improve the weddings I organise and trying to remember every detail to make every wedding special.

So I would just like to thank everyone who voted for me!...
And to everyone involved to make The 2012 Wedding Industry awards totally brilliant!

After a trip to St. Martin's Lane's Light bar to celebrate in the morning I was feeling a little....So I went to Whole Foods swooned over the cake pops and beautiful produce and ate a lovely healthy breakfast! Yum..
