Friends

Hello

All through the year, I go to networking events, venue showcases, award evenings and I get to meet lots of lovely wedding suplliers but I don't want to keep them all to myself!

I feel that I offer a high standard of care to my couples and I want this reflected throughout the whole of their wedding planning, so I am very particular about the companies I recommend. If a couple say they have had a bad experience, then I don't recommend them any longer.

So, it's come to that time of year when I update my 'FRIENDS' page. You will find some amazing companies right here on your door step and I hope this helps you find the right suppliers for your wedding.

Rock up and Play

Rock Up and Play provides tailor made mobile creches, event nannies and venue babysitting for weddings, corporate events and family gatherings. At a wedding this leaves you time to get ready, get married and not feel too bad about having a glass of bubbles.

They also do 'venue babysitting' which can either be booked to follow on from our daytime event childcare, allowing your event to carry on smoothly, or as a stand alone service. We care for the children in the comfort of their room at the venue. They can even carry out the children’s bedtime routine, and tuck them up for the night leaving you to enjoy your evening.


Rock and Play was founded as a result of a desire to bring the ethos of home childcare to an event environment. Catherine is passionate about childcare and has extensive experience of caring for children of all ages, from babies up to teens. She is a mother to 4 children and understands the needs of different age groups.

Our childcare service is designed specifically to suit the individual needs and interests of the children. Prior to events we gather information from the parents to help us in selecting resources and activities that are of interest to the children. This ensures the children have a truly memorable day with us.
We support learning through a large array of play activities. If there is a safe enclosed outside area then we can provide outdoor toys and activities. The babies have their own safe zone with appropriate equipment, and a wide range of age appropriate toys and resources, including sensory and textured activities.
Safety is taken very seriously, all staff have police checks and the company is fully insured.
We are committed to offering a professional reliable service, putting children’s interests first, so parents can kick back and relax!
