Many venues have a "no candle" policy for the reception area. In the event you are dreaming of a wedding reception with a thousand flickering candles, do not forget to enquire if it is allowed!

ReplyDeleteWould have loved to have our wedding at Milk Thistle however they seemed really under prepared. No real information they could give us in the initial email. The first email actually said we can only seat 18 people, no mention of the OX despite their website stating larger parties can be seated at the Ox.
ReplyDeleteWe requested some info as to how the OX and Milk Thistle works together on the day, what are sample menu's, is the minimum spend of £6000 (0ver £3000 more than if you hired the whole venue for a party) covering both venues, would this include food spend etc etc
That was nearly 3 weeks ago, no response.
Felt like they didn't want to do a wedding at all, everywhere else we have spoken to have made a real effort to be as helpful and make it feel as special as possible.
